oh mah gosh this is soooo beautiful I love the tail, it looks like it could be from an actual fish, like it has those back second fin things like some real fish do but idk you hardly ever see them in drawings of mermaids but I love it when artists put them there because I feel as if it ties it all together and oops I'm ranting sorry... It's beautiful by the way!
Her body moves are rather smooth, especially hairs. But her body near boundary of humanity and fish it seems rather square, end her tail could be little more streamline. Still it's rather many detailed version of fish tail- that she's got a few fins on sides. Colors are also nicely choose, especially such small detail as her rainbow shells to cover bosom,
what a lovely mermaid! i'd say if ariel looked like her, that would be fantastic i love her pink hair matched with her aqua tail fin, and i love the look of her hair, and the way it flows backwards, beautiful job !
First and foremost, I am one of those people out there who has interest for magical and mythical creatures, as well as divine and godly characters. The whole concept, and meaning of this artwork really fascinates me. This is another kind of artwork that should greatly receives attention, personal evaluation and criticism by other amateurs and artists. If I may present to you my overall evaluation, I really admire the way you create and improvise characters to your of uniqueness and interest. Normally, classic representation of mermaids and other deep-ocean mythical creatures are just simply the hybrid of human of fish, giving a half human body with garments made out of shells and a tail. You however, has created a majestic character from every strands of hair, scales and those extra fins at the lower limb. The shapes, forms and outlines and without flaw, and one of the best part is the texture of colour. This gives out entirely the animated and 3D effect of the artwork, making it looking more lively. The emotion and expression of the mermaid gives the sensation of the artwork and the meaning hidden within. You have done a great job, that the only this that this mermaid needs, is a name.
I really love those shells on her bust omfg. I really love it when people draw mermaids with extra fins on the tails instead of just just the slim idea of the little mermaid stuff. Really love it and the colors omfg.
